T'nev watched the eggs intently. After observing the Sauras for a bit now, he had been absolutely entranced by these new and interesting creatures. They were simply amazing, far beyond the idea of anything he thought would exist on this planet. They were so unqiue and interesting. And now, they were hatching! He couldn't really believe it. Here and now, the first one to hatch being a lovely Rosee. All the Sauras were simply beautiful. He watched in awe and smiled brightly as the little Saura wobbled over to Beca, much like an insteady dragonling, and demanded Beca's attention.

Hachi jumped as the saura broke free of its shell, but soon resumed her normal stance. Thalia, however, squeaked and curled up into an up-side-down ball on Hachi's shoulder.

Not realizing that the clutch had started to hatch, the Winter Rider was scanning the people from the Weyr who kept arriving. He had not known so many had managed to pursuade riders to convey them...or else they were riders from the Weyr. Hearing a noise from behind, A'yan turned around, and then gaped as he watched the first Saura hatch from the clutch. Astonished, he stared as the Rosee headed for Beca, the Candidate from the Weyr whom he had brought. A good choice he thought, trying to restrain a smile. It was toned with the amazement he faced, confronting these astonishing creatures for the very first time.

Beca's eyes seemed to bug right out of her head as the Rosee stumbled up to her. She slowly sank onto her knees, and cuddled the Sauras to herself, her eyes glittery. Well, Argent, it's nice to meet you.

Next to Hatch was a Brise. She looked around, hiccuped, and charged straight at Hachi, practically trampling the girl in order to get to her. Delicate and lightly built, she had a fragile sort of beauty that maked her look as if she might easily break. Her hooves were a pure, pristine white while her mane and tail were more silvery, with streaks of blue. Her hide was dominantly the color of klah, with black along her flanks and a beige muzzle. Her wings were a pale sky blue, and dusted with silver and very faint pink towards the tips. She introduced herself loudly as Coquette.

Hachi picked herself up, staring with wide eyes at Coquette. Thalia fell off her arm and screeched loudly. She was not very happy. But, she landed on Coquette's back, soundly as ever.

T'nev watched as the second Saura hatched after the first made her choice. He smiled again, seeing how happy Becca and Hachi were. Just like a dragon hatching, huh Aquith? T'nev asked playfully of his dragon. Aquith gave a mental snort. You are going to compare dragons to winged runners? Aquith asked sarcastically. Even though it was a prdieful comment, since he was a dragon and all, T'nev could still tell he was interested by the Sauras and didn't look down on them as much as he had just indicated. Of course not Aquith! Nothing could ever replace you! T'nev replied, glancing over at the Wave and grinning.

F'yt, M'rtin and L'ke all watched the hatching. Some part of their face showed happiness. For F'yt, it was his mouth. He smiled. For M'rtin, it was his eyes. They shined. For L'ke it was his nose. It twitched.
Baten sat on a rock and watched.

A'yan studied the next-hatched Saura, and endeavored to compare it to the first. It was rather difficult, since they seemed absolutely nothing alike. Besides, of course, that they both had the overall appearence of a Runnerbeast, and the fact that there were wings sprouting from their backs. He wondered, rather wistfully, what their voices were like: having heard the male address him that once, and the mother of the clutch, there was no way to put it but that he wanted to hear more. They were marvelous. Saiyith shot him a rather annoyed look. And I'm not? he demanded. The rider flashed his dragon a rather delirious smile. {Of course you are, but my dear Sai--I've known you for Turns! These are something new. How often does one get to be part of rediscovered a long lost species?} The dragon's only response was a contemptous snort. A'yan then turned his attention back to the clutch, emerald eyes wide as he drank in the sites with the eagerness of a man who had been dying from thirst.

Next to hatch was a Montagne. Stocky and sturdily built, he was not the most handsome of creatures, but he was more than functional. He was broad shouldered and short-legged, with a barrel chest and large tan wings, over-shaded with forest green and a nearly teal blue that paled into tan where they joined his back. His mane was dark gray, verging on black in some places, and his hide was dappled pale gray with shades of white and some darker gray. He trotted steadily to Cyrin, introducing himself as Sommet.

Cyrin watched the saura approach him, disbelief etched on his face. Suddenly he snapped out of it and grabbed hold of the creature. "Hello Sommet." He said happily. (lame but i'm in a hurry to leave )

Beca glanced around as the others started Impressing to Sauras. She smiled, and Argent butted her head against her hand, saying she wished to be fed. Beca glanced around. "Um, does anyone have any food?"
