Beca seemed to wilt a bit. "Oh. It was probably the wind then." She looked around at the others, when the noise sounded again. It was a bit louder, but still extremely faint. It sounded a bit like a runnerbeast's nicker. It sounded like it was laughing, but she couldn't quite tell. "You're sure?"

ooc: None of my charries knows if she heard anything. Neya is just acting like herself so F'yt's keeping her clam while M'rtin, L'ke and their dragons search for whatever they're searching for.

((*pushes T'nev into thread* He was here... I swear.... *whistles innocently*))
"Maybe." T'nev said, hearing Becca as he dismounted Aquith. He hadn't heard anything. Did you hear anything? The Weyrleader asked of his dragon. No, I didn't hear it. The Wave replied as he folded his wings to his back. T'nev shrugged slightly, looking around at the mountain, wondering where they would find the Sauras and if there were any around.

ooc: Jeni, go get an egg from Scarlet Mango's cltuch.
bic: F'yt bowed to T'nev as Neya flew around the Wave and chittered.
L'ke looked around as his dragon ate another wherry.

A'yan gave his passenger a bit of an odd look as she informed him that she had heard something, and shrugged. "Er...no," he replied at last, cautiously. You're probably not the best person to go by, though Saiyith pointed out dryly. The rider frowned at the Winter. {It's not /my/ fault! I don't think anyone else hears it...} he retorted accusingly. The dragon did not respond, but scanned the area. Heaving a sigh, A'yan made some unintelligible remark and strode off in a direction which he had indicated with a far-flung gesture of one hand. His dragon gave him a look rather like that the rider had given Beca: he didn't notice. Pausing occasionally, he would bend and glance down, then sigh and shake his head. The rider hadn't read how large the eggs would be, thus he didn't know what to expect...but as far as he was concerned, nothing would be left to chance. A vague grin had crossed his features now, as he apparently wandered aimlessly about.

M'rtin watched A'yan go and looked at L'ke. M'rtin jerked his head at A'yan. L'ke shrugged and continued his search.

Ai elected to follow A'yan, since... Well, since she felt like it. Sanaa was wandering in circles, tripping over rocks.

Hachi nodded,You know, we should look around. However, if I go, I might get in trouble. That's not like me, but this is serious. Thalia nodded,What do you want ME to do? Hachi thought for a little,I don't know! Follow them or something. And report back to me what you find! I want to know about it. Mabye I can even think of new jokes! Thalia nodded,Yay! I love your jokes! She flew off.

Thalia flew overhead Ai and A'yan, making sure to not make a sound. She wanted to see these Sauras, as well as Hachi. Nothing, yet. From a ways away, she could hear Hachi say,Okay then, but we must be careful. I don't know why, but I think this is really important.

Neya took off after the bat, thinking she had found a playmate. "Crap," muttered F'yt as he took off after Neya.

Thalia held in a screech,No! Wait! I'm on a super secret spy mission! No! Hachi gasped as Thalia tried to evade the flitt.

A'yan hadn't yet realized that there was anyone else following him; much less the bat and firelizard winging overhead (?) He was poking behind a bush, curiously eyeing some oval-shaped rocks, when he came to the top of a hill which he had been absently ascending...and paused. There, spread out on a small plateau which neither he nor Saiyith had seen from the air, hidden by a ledge overhead, was a cluster of eggs. At least...his first thought was that they were oddly arranged rocks, but a second look informed him that that impression had been wrong. They had to be eggs. Nothing else could have been arranged with such precise deliberation. The eggs (or could they be rocks?) were arranged in a circle, with one larger egg in the middle. Peering cautiously at it, he clambered over a fallen log, and inched nearer to the circle, glancing around warily in search of whomever had laid this clutch. After all, it couldn't be...well...abandoned here, could it? Unless it was just a wierd rock formation. Glancing around, he realized that there was a low wall made out of brambles and various other natural things twisted around it. Curiously, he reached a hand towards it, and then withdrew it in a rare gesture of cautiousness.
((Sorry I did this so quickly; we didn't look for very long...But I'm sure it will take quite a while to get everyone here and etc. with lots left to play out before the Hatching itself. If it's too early, Avi, let me know!))
