Name: A'yan (Adyan)
Age: 18
Gender: male
Appearence: All of the children of L'nor and Adya have only minute differences in appearences, with a very similar base. Some mistake them for twins, though there is a considerable age difference. A'yan has bright russt hair, with faint copper tints, usually kept short cropped, sticking up from his scalp in unruly spikes, though it would be almost curly if let grow. His gaze is the same brilliant emerald hue as his father's and Iora's, though usually sparkling as if with some private joke. Unlike his brothers, his build is sturdy and well muscled, showing strength. He's slightly broader of shoulder than most of them as well -especially broader of shoulder than his narrow father- with the same long legs, and stronger calfs, and a more solid frame overall. He has an originally lanky form, though he's too active to remain completely that way. Very energetic, he knows exactly how long he can hold out, and is fully aware of his strength.
Personality: A'yan is louder than his conservative siblings, with no objections to voicing his ideas. He enjoys drawing out verbal lashings, though his quick tongue as easily mends tears as makes them. Sometimes considered a brilliant strategist, he is charismatic, and dramatic. A'yan refuses to conform to his societies images, laughing when he's supposed to be serious, and dreaming when he's supposed to be listening. He lives life the way that he wants to, stubbornly going with whatever he wants, and ignoring the insistances of others. A'yan has a habit of claiming he doesn't understand things, and despite an outgoing nature -or maybe because of it- has the ability to win peoples confidences. There always seems to be a smile playing about his face, and if he notices one looking down, he'll be the first to come up with a lame joke in an attempt to cheer you. Far more casual than the rest of his family, he is very easy going, though can hold a grudge for a very long time...He flirts amiably, though has never had a serious attachment to anyone, and has yet to realize that sometimes people do take him seriously. He dotes on the several children of his numerous siblings, and spoils them shamelessly -as any good uncle ought to do- though ignores his sister Iora with a miraculous consistency.
History: To be brief, Adyan and his numerous siblings were born in Shining Sun Weyr, where their father was a Nightrider; their mother a springrider and their eldest brother Dalnor a dragonrider-to-be. Ever since childhood, he had watched the training dragonriders with mild interest, though not the passion that marked some of his other siblings. As a result, he cared little for the games of 'Threadfall' and 'Hatching' played by his brothers and sisters, and was more often to be found lurking about the lower caverns, and watching the women who worked there cooking...something that always seemed like magic to him. When he was 14 Turns -Iora had graduated to a rider at that point, and his sister Kiya was near it- he was Searched by D'nor's dragon...much to his surprise, and causing not a little bit of consternation on his part, as his gradually burgeoning dreams of becoming a Cook (or Headperson) were decreed unsuitable with one simple decision. This caused great excitement, as his mother hoped to have yet another dragonrider in the family. This came about rapidly, for at the first hatching that he stood, he Impressed his Winter Saiyith, and has never looked back. It was around then that his second eldest brother Tyron married a lower caverns woman, and decided to pursue Inventing rather than become a dragonrider like the rest of this brood. His family consists of his father, L'nor (of Night Cheyth) his mother, Adya (of Spring Jannath) his brother D'nor (of Fall Eirith) his brother Tyron (a Self-styled inventor, the only non-dragonrider) Iora (of Stone Wrenyth), his sister Kiya (of Frost Phyth) and himself. Last but not least, as he would say, for though he was reluctant to become a dragonrider, his Saiyith is the highest ranking out of this considerable family, which is ever expanding.
Position: Dragonrider
Dragon: Winter Saiyith
Dragon Description: More withdrawn than his mischievous rider, Saiyith is rather shy and reluctant to go into society. He dislikes the spotlight, and will shy away from it if someone attempts to bestow credit on him. An intelligent creature, he doesn’t show it. He always takes time to consider things, and is fiercely protective of A'yan, and tends to be jealous when his rider bestows attention on anyone else. In some ways, he is very mature with a down-to-Lys nature and is very sensible overall, but in others he is quite immature, with a desire to be the ‘best.’ If anyone contests or threatens his chosen, he tends to become surly and quick to ‘save’ him. Saiyith holds a grudge. If someone hurts himself, his rider or does something against either, he will remember it for the rest of his life, with an undragonic memory that rarely fails him. However, he does not take first Impressions lightly, and will reconsider his impression of someone or something if they do something to prove their worth, but he is rarely wrong. Oddly sensitive, he enjoys being praised, and wilts when ignored. His hide is of pure, practically seeming liquid, silver, which dances across his hide in bounds, darkened towards his underbelly and less shiny, though gleaming everywhere else. It looses sheen towards his tail, and as is typical for his kind, this Winter has dark wing-membranes, of black shade. Well built, he is a fairly handsome creature, but too withdrawn to be noticed.
