Name: Iora
Age: 21
Gender: female
Position: Dragonrider
Appearence: Long coppery blond hair, Iora is generally considered pretty...and she's incredibly aware of it. She likes to think that she's the prettiest out of the lot of Weyrlings at the moment, and some of her male aquaintances would be inclined to agree. Her eyes are bright green, almost the same strange, mottled hue of her dragoness. However, rather than brilliant and amiable, her eyes tend to be dull, with a look of consideration in them, as if she's weighing everything. Even though not initially noticable, these eyes have actually frightened people.
She's fairly tall (at about 5'8") at very slim...though when gowned, this is due to a corset, and when not, due to vigorous work on her part to retain that. Naturally, her build would be plumper, but she takes care to avoid that, out of a mistaken belief that 'skinny' is 'pretty.' In reality, she seems almost bony, with few curves, though those that she has amplified by whatever means she can find.
Her features are softly curving, with gently arching brows, and well shaped lips. Certainly pleasing to regard...at least, in some views. She has, certainly, been consider to have an air about her that is above her station...and her smile is more alike to a smirk, not reaching her oddly dull gaze.
Personality: Iora is easily amused, and just as easily distracted. She seeks attention of males, whether candidate, Weyrling, Rider or Holder...whether it's permitted or no. Oh, certainly she endeavors to follow the rules, but where she can find a loophole, she'll slide through it. She couldn't be considered dim, but she uses what intelligence she has to seeking out gossip. When she's not looking for information that, no doubt, she's not supposed to know, she's either pursuing the current object of her admiration, or talking. She talks at an amazingly rapid rate, with the ability to never have to pause to draw breath, and rarely taking a break to allow other comments to be inserted. Very pursuasive, she is far more civil to males than she is to fellow females. She's more apt to snap at one of the other young women than a male, whom she'll simply coo at and work her wiles on him...Few are safe against her charm when she turns it on. Her grudges last. A long, long time...And it is almost impossible to win back her regard if lost. She is easily offended. (will be added too soon. She's being developed)
History: To be brief, Iora and her numerous siblings were born in Shining Sun Weyr in Lys, where their father was a Nightrider; their mother a Springrider and their eldest brother Dalnor a kingrider-to-be. Ever since childhood, she had wanted intensely to become a dragonrider like her father. As a result, every spare moment she had (when not helping out in the Lowercaverns, or trailing after weyrlings) she was researching about these admirable people. This course was usually followed by picking a good looking young Weyrling or Rider, and gleaning as much information from them as she could. It was in this time that she found that flutters of a young lady's long lashes were extremely effective for getting information. When she was 17 Turns -several turns after Dalnor Impressed a dragon and became D'nor- she was Searched by his fathers dragon (to no one's surprise). It didn't take long, for at the first hatching she stood, Iora Impressed Stone Wrenyth, and became the third in a family of dragonriders. Her family consists of her father, L'nor (of Night Cheyth) her mother, Adya (of Spring Jannath) his brother D'nor (of Fall Eirith) her brother Tyron (a self-dubbed Inventor) herself, her sister Kiya (of Frost Phyth) and her youngest brother A'yan (of Winter Saiyith) This extensive family is dominantly ignored by Iora, now a full rider, as she believes that she has better things to do. Namely, pursue whichever male Rider has caught her gaze at the moment.
Dragon: Stone Wrenyth (called Wren or Wreni)
Dragon Description: A slim, delicately built dragoness who almost seems more akin to a bird than a dragon in regards to her stature. She's very small, and very light, but with a regal air contrasting to her. A soft pale beige that seems as if it's been painted by an exquisite artist, with varying shades in a kind of stone rainbow. She almost appears to be camoflauged, with an ability of blending into her surroundings almost short of miraculously...at least when she's surrounded by stones. Her hide has a patch of darker beige, almost brown in some lights, just at the tip of her tail, but otherwise is mostly unmarred.
She tends to be quite vain, almost to a 'queenly' extent, and is quite proud. She is very difficult to win the good opinion of, and if you succeed, it is just as difficult to retain it.
Self-dubbed, Wren is the Weyr-Gossip of dragons...much the same way that her rider is of the humans. She always knows what's going on, but if you want to hear it from her, you'd better do something in return...
Pets: None
Other: A nasty little creature when she wants to be...
