After hearing the explanation about Sauras for the second time, A'yan couldn't resist replying himself. A younger man had taken the papers, and he now took them back and offered them to the Weyrleader. "I'm getting confused," he muttered to himself with a raised brow look for a young woman who had arrived with an odd creature clinging (he thought) to her shoulder. The mention of the 'insane old man' bemused him. "Where did you come by these?" he inquired after a moment. "I mean, other than the old fellow giving them to you. Maybe he could tell us more about them?" Not having fully perused the sheets, and not having absorbed what he had managed to read, A'yan knew only what was being said. That these creatures were apparently a cross between Runnerbeasts, and dragons, and could fly. It was all a bit too strange to seem fully real.

Kila brightened a moment. "A'yan, you do seem exceptionally interested in these creatures," she said craftily. "Would you mind going with T'nev to the Sky Mountains on a Search for them?" She shot T'nev a look, telling him that she was going to make him go.

"I'll go as well," Sanaa volunteered. "I'd have to go on foot or hitch a ride, since Coralth's too small to carry me-" Coralth snorted. "-But I'd love to help look!" she concluded,

T'nev smiled at Kila and nodded, signaling that he would be happy to go, he was quite interested to learn more about them himself. He had finished reading the papers, and was now eager to try and catch a glimpse of one of these facinating Sauras in the wild.

"I don't know, Sanaa," she said doubtfully. "It could slow the riders down..." It was a pity that she wouldn't be able to go. She couldn't go between because of her pregnancy, not that Cralinth would let her. And Cralinth herself had been catching up on lost sleep from when she had tended her clutch.
((Khaliall's A'yan already has permission to be the one to actually sight and find the clutch.))

A'yan looked towards the weyrwoman with some surprise, considering saying that he wouldn't go, but somehow the words got stuck in his throat, and he nodded mutely. "Of course, Weyrwoman. I would be happy to go," he said at last, with a glance towards the Weyrleader. Seeing that he was no longer reading the papers, A'yan took the opportunity to grab them back and scan them in a desperate attempt at gleaning more information than he had on his first perusal. At last, he nodded to himself and absently waved them about to emphasize a point. "They're intriguing: of course I'll go," he repeated, without realizing that he had virtually echoed his earlier words. The rider glanced over at the girl who had offered to go, and then silently towards the Weyrwoman. His only response was a shrug.

"Oh, I don't think she'll be any trouble." T'nev said, glancing over at Sanaa. "She could ride on Aquith, he's more than capable of conveying her. The more help the better." He said happily, looking to Kila.

Sanaa smiled. "That'd be brilliant," she said. "I'd be much obliged, if it's alright with the Weyrwoman...?" Coralth mumbled something indistinct, but it sounded like a complaint.

A'yan was silent: for once, he had nothing to say, and that was a rare occurance. He stood practically frozen in his place, with his arms folded across his chest and both brows raised. The only parts of him that moved were his eyes, which darted between the Weyrwoman, Weyrleader and the girl who wanted to come. He was indifferent to having any more company, though he supposed that if the Weyrleader's dragon didn't want to convey her, Saiyith would be willing. "The more help the better," he stated in repatition of the Weyrleaders earlier words. "Or is it many hands make light work? The mountains are huge--There is lots to search but the lack of a dragon might be a hinderance..." He looked inquiringly towards T'nev.

"I think we'd definately be able to manage. The three of us and able-bodied two dragons. It shouldn't be any trouble." T'nev replied, looking from A'yan to Sanaa and then to Kila to hear her opinion on the matter.

"Hey! What about me?!" Hachi asked, and Thalia squeaked,Yeah! Me, too. The, Hachi lightened, although she never hardened, and remembered the runnerbeast thing, deciding to tell a joke, "So, a runnerbeast walks into a tavern, and the tavernkeeper asks, 'Hey, why the long face?'" She started cracking up, along with Thalia who started the wheezing thing again. "Get it? Runnerbeasts have long faces and it means sad. Get it?" Thalia squeaked again,I got it, and it was hilarious! then, they began laughing again.

A'yan nodded slowly at T'nevs confirmation. "Sure. Fine with me," he said at last, raising a shoulder in a half shrug. "Do we know where to look...? Besides the mountains, I mean." He fell silent, fiddling with the hem of his tunic, and glancing around in wait for someone to say something. When the girl spoke up, he shot the Weyrleader a despairing look, wondering if now that he'd agreed to take one girl, if they'd have to take them all. "Er...I don't think Saiyith would want a passenger, and I doubt that the Weyrleaders dragon could carry another...?" he ventured dubiously, eyebrows creeping up another fraction as he listened to the girl's joke. Please, Faranth, don't make T'nev agree to this one! he thought with some amusement, though toned by his despair. She seemed nice enough, but he would be hard put to stay sane. "I get it," he stated quickly, lips twitching more at her amusement than the joke.

Hachi grinned sillily. "Good, because NO one EVER does." She nodded to Thalia, who nodded to A'yan. Then, she started back up with the jokes, letting Thalia hang upside-down on her arm, "What did one wall say to the other?" Thalia shook her head, I don't know. Hachi's grin got bigger, "Meet you at the corner!" The laughing started up again, Hachi's was neverending giggles, and Thalia's was that wheezing sound.

Beca crossed her arms. "Hold on a second," she said. "You're not going to leave me hear, after reading these papers! I'm going too! I'm not that bad!"
